The dog rescued from the collapsed unfinished building in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga has now been transferred to the Angeles City Dog Pound and Animal Shelter Compound for proper care and recovery.
According to the City Veterinary Office, the dog—believed to be the foreman’s pet—will receive food, vitamins, and medical attention to help it recover from the traumatic incident.
Authorities earlier said the dog was spotted trying to emerge from the rubble during ongoing search and rescue operations, prompting responders to immediately rescue and secure the animal.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the building collapse has risen to four, while 16 individuals remain missing. A total of 27 people have so far been rescued as of 7 PM on May 25, 2026.
