ESTIMATED PUMP PRICE INCREASE: Diesel May Rise ₱10.50/L, Gasoline Up ₱4.50/L
Filipino motorists may face another significant increase in fuel prices next week, with industry estimates pointing to a possible ₱9.50 to ₱10.50 per liter increase for diesel and ₱3.50 to ₱4.50 per liter for gasoline, amid renewed tensions in the Middle East that continue to drive global oil prices higher.

Based on the first four trading days of the week, oil industry players said the projected adjustments could take effect next Tuesday, subject to the final trading day and official announcements from oil companies.
According to Jetti Petroleum President Leo Bellas, global crude prices have surged as geopolitical risks intensified following renewed hostilities involving Iran and the United States.
He said concerns over possible supply disruptions have grown after attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, retaliatory US military strikes, reduced tanker traffic in the strategic waterway, and restrictions affecting Iranian ports.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical oil shipping routes, with a significant portion of global crude exports passing through the area. Any disruption in the region often results in higher international oil prices.
Diesel prices are expected to post the larger increase due to tightening global supplies, stronger seasonal demand, and reduced diesel exports from Russia following reported damage to energy infrastructure.
Gasoline prices are also projected to rise as fears of supply constraints persist during the peak travel season, further supported by elevated crude oil prices.
If the forecast materializes, it would follow this week's fuel price adjustments, which saw gasoline prices increase by ₱1.00 per liter and diesel by ₱4.60 to ₱4.62 per liter, marking another consecutive week of increases.
Motorists are advised that the figures remain estimates and may still change depending on the outcome of the final trading session before oil companies announce their official pump price adjustments on Monday.
Estimated Fuel Price Adjustment (Next Week):
Diesel: ⬆️ ₱9.50–₱10.50/L
Gasoline: ⬆️ ₱3.50–₱4.50/L
The final price adjustments will be confirmed by oil companies before taking effect on Tuesday.
