The Department of Energy (DOE) announced a massive rollback for diesel and kerosene prices in the Philippines, effective tomorrow, April 28.

DOE Secretary Sharon Garin confirmed that diesel prices will drop by P12.94 per liter, resulting in an estimated price range of P75.93 to P101.96.

Likewise, Kerosene prices will decrease to a range of approximately P125.39 to P147.98, following a drop of P15.71 per liter.

On the other hand, gasoline prices will conversely increase by P0.53 per liter.

This price adjustment marks the third consecutive week of rollbacks for fuels used primarily in transportation and logistics.

Energy officials said the lower rates follow a period where fuel peaked at P170 per liter due to global market instability caused by the Middle East war.

Secretary Garin further announced the arrival of four diesel shipments, totaling 178 million liters, which secures a five-day buffer stock for the country.

The DOE assured the public of continuous pump supply to meet national demand following these price changes.
