More than 102,000 residents from 87 barangays in the Bicol Region have been affected by the continuing unrest of Mayon Volcano, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

At least 5,440 evacuees are currently staying in evacuation centers as authorities continue distributing relief goods, N95 masks, clean water, and other essential supplies to affected communities.
Over the weekend, Mayon recorded a strombolian eruption, continuous pyroclastic flows, and heavy ashfall, prompting authorities to maintain Alert Level 3 and strictly enforce the six-kilometer permanent danger zone.
The Philippine National Police also deployed additional personnel in Albay to assist in road clearing, traffic management, and public safety amid low visibility caused by thick ashfall.
Authorities continue to monitor the volcano closely and urged residents to remain alert and follow evacuation protocols.
