Colorful exhibits, cultural displays, and travel promotions welcomed visitors as the Regional Travel Fair officially opened on May 16 at Baguio Convention Center for its business-to-consumer sessions led by tourism stakeholders and local government officials.

Organized in partnership with the Department of Tourism and city government representatives, the event gathers participating provinces from different regions of the country to promote local tourism, culture, and economic opportunities.

Interactive booths lined the convention center, featuring regional delicacies, handcrafted products, cultural presentations, and destination highlights aimed at encouraging domestic travel. Visitors also explored exclusive travel deals, tour packages, and destination catalogues offered during the two-day event.

Tourism representatives emphasized the importance of travel fairs in helping revive and strengthen the country’s tourism industry by connecting travelers directly with local destinations and tourism enterprises.

The activity also supports local businesses and tourism workers by increasing public awareness of lesser-known attractions and promoting sustainable tourism initiatives nationwide.

The Regional Travel Fair will run until May 17, giving residents and tourists more opportunities to discover destinations across the Philippines without leaving the City of Pines.
