SENATE CONFIRMS NEW COMMITTE CHAIRMANSHIPS

The Senate approved a new set of committee chairmanships on Monday, May 18, following the recent leadership reshuffle. The reorganization includes key committees on education, defense, health, energy, and public services.

• Loren Legarda – Culture and the Arts; Basic Education

• Pia Cayetano – Ways and Means; Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation and Futures Thinking; Energy

• Bong Go – Health and Demography; Sports

• Joel Villanueva – Higher, Technical and Vocational Education

• Jinggoy Estrada – National Defense and Security, Peace, Unification and Reconciliation; Games and Amusement

• Rodante Marcoleta – Public Services

• Robin Padilla – Public Information and Mass Media; Cultural Communities and Muslim Affairs
