Chiz Escudero and his alleged 'bagman' Maynard Ngu may confront a precautionary Hold Departure Order (HDO) filed by the Office of the Ombudsman before the Sandiganbayan at Saturday over the flood control issue.

This comes as Escudero face investigations over complaints of alleged plunder, graft, and bribery in the flood control scandal.

Escudero has since refuted the allegations of his involvement in the flood control scandal and called it “a well-orchestrated plan to attack the Senate”.

Former Public Works Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo earlier accused Ngu of being Escudero's bagman.

Plunder charges against Escudero and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez are expected to be filed next month by the Office of the Ombudsman.

As of writing of this article, Escudero has yet to release a statement regarding his precautionary HDO.

Sandiganbayan has yet to approve the said HDO.
