BULACAN TRAGEDY: MOTHER, 2 CHILDREN FOUND DEAD INSIDE VEHICLE

A 31-year-old mother and her two children, ages nine and four, were found dead inside a vehicle parked in a secluded area of Barangay Talacsan, San Rafael, Bulacan.

Barangay officials responded to the area at around 2 p.m. on Thursday after receiving a call and discovered the three victims inside the vehicle. Police later held a case conference at the San Rafael Municipal Police Station as part of the investigation.

Authorities have invited the woman's sister to the police station as investigators continue gathering information. Police have yet to say whether the woman's husband, who is also the children's father, has been questioned in connection with the case.

Barangay officials believe the vehicle may have been left at the secluded location as early as Wednesday night. The area is also used as a pathway by cattle caretakers.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) returned to the site at around 6 a.m. Friday to continue processing the vehicle. Investigators conducted a 3D scan inside the vehicle as they worked to gather additional evidence. The vehicle may be removed from the area later in the day.

Meanwhile, San Rafael Vice Mayor Edison Veneracion said the local government will extend assistance to the victims' relatives.

A relative, who declined to appear on camera, said the remains of the victims would be brought to their family home in Angat, Bulacan.

Authorities have yet to disclose the circumstances surrounding the deaths as the investigation continues.
