SILANG, Cavite — After enduring 45 days of intense military-style training, discipline, and physical and mental challenges, 424 members of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “SIKLAB-MASINDASIG” Class of 2030 officially earned their place in the Cadet Corps of the Philippine National Police (CCPNP).

The incorporation rites, held at the BGen Cicero C. Campos Field inside Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda, marked the culmination of the New Cadet Orientation Course (NCOC), formerly known as the “Breaking Period”—a long-standing rite of passage designed to transform civilian recruits into police cadets.

The ceremony formally welcomed the fourth-class cadets, or plebes, into the Academy’s upper-class corps following weeks of rigorous training that tested their physical endurance, mental resilience, discipline, and commitment to public service.

In his keynote address, PNPA Acting Director PBGEN Redrico A. Maranan commended the cadets for successfully overcoming one of the most challenging phases of academy life.

“You have proven that you possess the resilience, determination, and character expected of future public safety officers,” Maranan said.

He also emphasized the Academy’s continuing reforms aimed at strengthening cadet welfare and leadership development. These include enhanced supervision, stronger family engagement programs, comprehensive institutional reforms, and the strict implementation of a zero-hazing policy.

The incorporation rites not only signified acceptance into the Cadet Corps but also symbolized the cadets’ transition from civilians into future leaders of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.

Following the ceremony, the newly incorporated cadets were granted designated family time, allowing them to reunite with loved ones for the first time since undergoing the demanding orientation period.

The event also featured the reopening of the enhanced Lakan Museum, which showcases the Academy’s history, traditions, and ongoing reforms.

With their incorporation complete, the PNPA “SIKLAB-MASINDASIG” Class of 2030 now begins the next stage of training as they continue their journey toward becoming disciplined, competent, and service-oriented public safety officers.
